Scat Frequency Analysis

October 2012

Students ranged distances on the Pali-Lahaina Trail (valley side) and recorded the number of scat samples on either side of the trail. These frequencies were later subjected to statistical analyses. Questions of interest included scat identification and location, decreasing distribution of samples along two legs of the trail, and human domestic animals impact on the trail.
